Actual and Potential Resources
On the basis of development and use, resources are classified into two groups:-
Actual resources: These are those resources whose quantity is known. These resources are being used in the present. For e.g. Coal of Germany, Petroleum in West Asia.
Potential resources: These are those resources whose entire quantity may not be known and these are not being used at present. These resources could be used in the future. For e.g. Uranium in Ladakh.
